In Progress: Eduard’s 1/48 Gloster Gladiator

Published on:

This is the 1/48 Eduard kit, a rebox of the Roden kit. It’s my first Roden kit, and I’m not terribly impressed. I’d rank it higher than Special Hobby, but not quite up to the standard of Zvezda or Airfix. It should end up looking OK though.

The interior detail is OK, even with al the Eduard photoetch additions. If you build it, be prepared to wrestle mightily with getting the IP in place. In fact, all the interior parts take a little work to get nestled in the fuselage halves.

I am not looking forward to the wing alignment or rigging.

Still, I like the look of the Gladiator, so I’m pressing ahead.

    how is it going??

    1. That’s actually from 2016. Here’s a full build report on my other blog:

I guess the summary is “I’m no longer building airplanes.”

      😉
