Former Patreon Content: Warhammer 40K Armiger Helverin – House Cadmus

Published on:

I’m not sure I can nail down exactly what it is about these Warhammer Armiger kits that make me want to build them. But I have built three of them, and I have a fourth standing by for a future project. And quite honestly if I didn’t think it would make my channel views go lower than they already are, I might build more of them.

Which I suppose doesn’t really matter if I’m having fun, right? 🤔

I guess they’re a bit like M & M’s. Think about it – who can eat ONE? Just one. I think it’s probably impossible, and may even do harm to the space time continuum. Now that I think about, even those “share size” bags of M & M’s are one serving. And ain’t no way I’m sharing them! (Except with my wife… 😘)

What really attracts me to these kits I think is how fast you can go from sprues to painting and weathering. They assemble quickly, fit nicely, have logical subassemblies, and are absolutely covered in greeblies. Though they’re not very large, I’d guess on a per-square-inch basis they have more detail than just about any other model I’ve built.

And they come two in a box. (Share size?)

This particular Armiger is of the Helverin variety. It has two shooty-pew-pews on its “arms”. (The Warglaive variant has flamethrowers and a chainsaw. When you want to get up close and personal…) I picked the House Cadmus colors because it was green. I don’t think “House Cadmus” has anything to do with Cadbury chocolate, but given the whole M & M tie-in I can see how these could be made of chocolate. (“New from Games Workshop!”)

Anyway… here’s a former Patreon video series about building a cool little stompy dealie. My thanks to the tens of people who will watch at least 3 minutes of one or more of the videos! (Statistically speaking of course! 🤣)

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have realized there are some colorful chocolates in my near future…
