If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.

Former Patreon Content: Games Workshop Rhino APC

Published on:

When I began building Warhammer kits, I saw right away I liked the Rhino Armored Personnel Carrier. For one, it just had this squat, tough, yet comical look to it. (Kind of like a rhino I suppose… 🤔) It was also an awesome canvas for weathering, with those giant slab sides. But it also looked a lot like a real world APC, the M113. A vehicle that I’d had a little bit of experience in during a real live shooting match.

I’d built this particular Rhino for an early Patreon series, and had a load of fun with it. Looking back, my eye questions “maybe too much fun?” Still, modeling is a journey of learning, and sometimes exploring the boundaries either way is helpful.

As I did with many of my builds at the time, I posted a blog article about the process, which you can read here… with another Army story. I guess that’s why they resonate though. They remind me of a time that now seems literally as if it were a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Thanks for this update Jon, I appreciate it. One thing, is it possible to reverse the view order? I usually start at the first video in the list and let it play all through.
At this point I would be working from the end to the beginning.
If it is not an easy change, I can live with it.

    1. Good catch John! That’s been done! 😀
