First, a Raytheon exec was reported to have mentioned that the T-X program might be wrapped into a CAS requirement for the same airframe. Then another report said, no, that was not the case, but rather an interim airframe, OA-X, would be considered, and then a longer term replacement for the A-10 would be pursued with the A-X2 program.
Now the Secretary of the Air Force says both are news to her.
It’s certainly interesting to watch…..
