In Progress: Airfix/Aeroclub 1/48 Spitfire Mk. 21- Decals are on

Published on:

Work continues on the Airfix/Aeroclub Spitfire Mk. 21. Thanks to decals from one friend, and a contra-rotating prop from another, this build is shaping up nicely.

The markings are for the personal aircraft of Air Vice Marshall J. W. Baker, AOC of No. 12 Group, based in Ludham, Sept. 1946. (It’s just pure coincidence we have the same initials… 😉 )

It’s rare to see a Spitfire Mk. 21 built up. And even more so for a six-bladed version, so this is a lot of fun to work on.
